Multiple Tooth Replacements
If you’re missing more than one tooth, the dentist will recommend replacement with a bridge, partial, or denture.
-

Bridge – A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth in a row. The prosthetic attaches to adjacent healthy teeth with abutment crowns. Bridges are fixed, or non-removable, dental appliances.
-
Partial – A partial replaces multiple teeth on one arch, upper or lower. The replacement teeth fit with existing teeth like a puzzle. Partials are secured by hidden clasps attached to strong, healthy teeth, and they are a removable appliance.
-
Denture – A denture replaces all teeth on one arch. The appliance consists of a full row of esthetic replacement teeth attached to a gum-colored base. Dentures are stabilized with natural suction, adhesive, or dental implants.
